About me
I am a fashion designer, pattern maker, and product development specialist with a solid background in garment construction, pattern development, and apparel manufacturing. As the founder and creative director of Atelier Leo Roman, I combine creativity, technical expertise, and craftsmanship to develop fashion collections and uniform programs that integrate design, functionality, and identity.
My journey in the fashion industry began at age 16, during school holidays, when I worked as a cutting assistant in a garment workshop. That first experience sparked my passion for garment construction and motivated me to pursue professional training in pattern making and product development.
Over the years, I have held various positions within the apparel industry, gaining experience in pattern development, technical design, garment production, and manufacturing processes. This experience has allowed me to develop a holistic vision that unites the creative process with technical mastery, transforming ideas into functional, well-constructed, and high-quality products. Today, through Atelier Leo Roman, I develop contemporary menswear and womenswear collections, as well as uniform programs for the corporate and hospitality sectors, inspired by Caribbean craftsmanship, contemporary elegance, and cultural richness.
My philosophy:
"I believe that fashion should go beyond aesthetics. Each garment should reflect identity, functionality, artisanal excellence, and a design capable of standing the test of time."
My purpose:
"I am passionate about creating garments that combine functionality, quality, and timeless design."
