THE ATELIER
Atelier Leo Roman is the creative expression of Dominican designer Leo Roman, a space where fashion is born from a passion for garment construction, attention to detail, and the constant pursuit of excellence.
My story began at 16, during school holidays, when I worked as a cutting assistant in a small sewing workshop. That experience sparked a fascination with how a simple piece of fabric could be transformed into a garment with its own unique identity. This discovery led me to study pattern making and sewing, graduating as an Industrial Pattern Maker, and since then I have dedicated my career to perfecting the art of creating garments from their structure.
Over the years I have worked in pattern making, product development, collection construction, and corporate uniform design, integrating creativity and technical precision into every project. For me, design begins long before the first sketch: it originates in the pattern, in the proportions, in the functionality, and in the way a garment complements the wearer.
Atelier Leo Roman embodies that philosophy. It's not just a fashion brand, but a reflection of my understanding of design: pieces conceived with intention, balance, and attention to every detail. From signature collections to corporate identity projects, each creation seeks to convey authenticity, elegance, and a sense of enduring quality that transcends trends.
My purpose is to create garments that inspire confidence, express identity, and demonstrate that Dominican design can compete with excellence in any setting in the world.
